Running up and down throughout the Essence region all the time, just to please a Sister of Eve. Pathetic, but the ISK rewards are nice, which come handy on my way to power. It takes money to get the necessary equipment to destroy infidels and heretics.
Speaking of equipment, I just suffered my first loss of ship. I was instructed to fly into a nest of drones, just to have my warp engine disrupted and my ship webbed. This should not have been much of an issue, but unfortunately, I'm not someone whom you'd call a tanking professional (yet). I could just sit there, watching my armor repper draining the last bit of cap then stop, leaving me there practically naked. It did not take too much time - 12.3 seconds, just to be precise - for the drones to rip me totally apart.
Note to self: ships are yearning to be insured.
Lessons learnt: a lot. Like I should be able to hit something just a shade farther than a mere 2.5k, thus pulse lasers are a no-no, at least until I can tank opponents who hit me harder than a sparrow's fart. Welcome beams with radio crystals! 17k seems good enough for a start, though I guess I'm still not safe from missiles and the like. Armor plates are better than Damage Controls in a way that they do not ask for cap, though they hurt the velocity somewhat. I can counter-balance that with a nice AB, so I can easily make 700/s. I really have to train my skills: putting something on which is basically a metal hide is lame.
I flew back with my new ship and took my revenge on those damned machines. Orbiting at 15k, flying with 600/s, they couldn't even shoot at me, while I could butcher them with my Dual Modal Lights. I have to admit that when I say 'butcher', I really mean 'going by small cuts', as it took one minute average to get rid of just one, unlike the 'one volley - one down'-like pulse with multi.
There are problems with this loadout, like it's not cap stable, one high slot is empty and the like, but so far I can fly just this. I'm a bit concerned about Power Grid: just .75 MW left.
I'm still adamant about learning Learning, so the figures will remain the same for a while.

Learning
When you think of learning, you think of schools.
You might think of the long, tedious, boring classes. You are just part right. Although I had them - and I had them more than enough, believe me - there was a goal that helped me to endure the endless lectures and the harsh trainers. That goal was simple and sublime at the same time: I wanted to be become a capsuleer, so I could serve God.
But no matter how many years I spent at the Imperial Academy, nothing prepared me for capital Life, that is as rigid, unforgiving, cruel and hostile as space itself.
It was at zero moment when I realized that I have to learn a lot, probably through my whole immortal life. And what would help me to learn better, more efficient than to learn Learning? I dove into the different books by SOCT. There's a lot to go: although I'm done with four fifths of Learning and Eidetic Memory and checked completely out Instant Recall and Analytical Mind, other titles like Logic, Spatial Awareness, Iron Will and Empathy wait for me on the shelf. And I haven't touched topics like Empathy, Focus, Clarity and Presence yet...the list seems daunting, especially when I look at the bills.
During my induction, I quickly left my puny Impairor and switched over to a Tormentor to an Executioner and finally, to a Punisher. What a ship! I managed to squeeze in the most minimum skills required to fly such a frigate in a proper manner: Afterburner, Weapon Upgrades, Hull Upgrades, Energy Grid Upgrades and Repair Systems.
Unfortunately, I did not run my loadout against the fitting simulator and bought a Small Armor Repper II in vain: with my current level of knowledge, I ran out of PowerGrid just by a shade. I'm thinking about replacing my Heat Sink I with something else, I just don't know what. Tech I Damage Control will probably have to go as well, just to be replaced by some kind of Adaptive Hardener. If PowerGrid is still an issue then, I will either fit a Power Diagnostic System or stay with the Tech I repper. Whatever the outcome will be, I'm currently able to fly the ship, though a Salvager or a NOS would be a nice addition.
Speaking of flying the ship, I was sent from Domain to Essence. I just hate travelling so much to raise standings.

Out of the closet
My name is Boris Menace. I graduated from IAC on 15th March, 106 years after the discovery of New Eden and only days after wormholes started to appear throughout the cluster. I am Amarr, one of God's chosen, a true blood.
Menace. I like my name. Future will tell if I can live up to it.
